How To Help Your Wife Get Started On Her Fitness Plan For Her Birthday

If you are planning to make your wife's birthday a very special one this year, here are some ideas that might help you to plan a memorable day. If your wife is focused on getting physically fit, remember that as you plan her day:

Start The Day In A Big Way - You'll have to plan ahead to make your wife's wake-up a fun one:

  • Do you sing? If you don't, no big deal. Just bring in a CD player to serenade your wife with a special song. Whether you go solo or you use the CD player, Close To You, Baby Mine or The Twelfth of Never are all great choices. Or, sing her your song.
  • Trite as it may seem, breakfast in bed is almost always well received. If you're a great cook yourself, just prepare your specialty. If you're not comfortable in the kitchen, buy fancy rolls or muffins and serve chocolate covered strawberries with them. 
  • At breakfast, give her a written agenda for your day together. Write it on pretty paper that she can save. That's especially important if she likes to keep memorabilia.
  • If you have children, your wife will probably love for them to be involved in whatever you do. Ask them to help you sing and to help deliver breakfast.

Give Her The Perfect Gift - Since your wife is wanting to get started on being healthier, think about giving her gifts to help her along:

  • Prepare a gift basket. Include a gym membership, attractive gymnastic leotards, a large towel, and delicious health bars.
  • When you select the leotards, think of getting her at least a couple of them with matching tops. That way she'll always have a backup, in case one pair is in the wash.
  • Choose leotards in your wife's favorite colors. You'll be surprised at how many choices you'll have. Or choose basic black with colorful contrasting tops.
  • Be sure to keep receipts from the store where you purchased the leotards, just in case she wants to exchange them for a different size, style or color.

To make your wife's day complete, offer to join the gym with her, or even to walk with her every day. Her birthday would be a great time for you to go with her to the gym. Don't forget to give her encouragement along the way, and to tell her how proud you are that she is taking care of herself.
