Reasons To Produce Headbands For Your Mudder Event

Posted on

If you're organizing a Mudder-style event in your community, you'll want to evaluate what types of Mudder apparel you'll give out. A lot of participating teams will bring their own T-shirts to the event which they'll wear so that spectators and fellow participants can clearly identify them as a team. You may want to hand out some apparel, but giving out T-shirts may be a poor idea if only a small percentage of the participants end up choosing to wear them. Instead, think about headbands with the event logo displayed on them. Here are some reasons to produce headbands for your Mudder event.

They Stay Visible

Headbands are a good idea during a Mudder event because of their high degree of visibility. As participants go through the course, they frequently get slathered in mud. This means that the T-shirts that they wear will often be muddied and thus difficult or impossible to read. With headbands, however, it's a different story. While some participants may get mud on their faces, their faces won't be coated to the same degree as their torsos. This means that the headbands will stay fairly visible throughout the event, which can help to show off your branding and even any sponsorship information that you choose to display on them.

They're Beneficial

Many people who participate in your Mudder event will be keen to wear headbands. Giving out T-shirts might have limited appeal because of participants bringing their own shirts, but a lot of people won't think to pack headbands for the event. Headbands are effective for controlling sweat, keeping hair out of participants' eyes, and keeping water off their faces. For example, if there's a part of your course that involves participants going through water, some of them may stumble and get wet. The presence of the headband, even when wet, will prevent water from the hair from running onto the face.

They're Inexpensive

You always want to be cognizant of what you're spending to put on a Mudder event versus what you're bringing in through registration fees. While there's a cost to producing headbands, you may find that it's less than what you'd spend for T-shirts. Different custom apparel manufacturers charge different rates for all sorts of clothing and accessories, but their small size generally means that headbands are affordable — even with custom embroidering on them. This affordability will allow you to comfortably provide this apparel for every participant.
